Trading Signals FAQ & Glossary
Quick answers and the vocabulary, defined.
Should I trade the signal blindly?
No. It is a structured starting point that fuses the options-market read with price-based momentum. Confirm the two halves agree, validate repeatable rules in the Backtester, and size and structure each trade on its own merits.
Why might the signal and the price trend disagree?
Because they measure different things: price is what has happened, the Nations indexes are what options are pricing next. That disagreement is often the most useful part of the read.
Glossary
- Confluence — the options read and the price read pointing the same way.
- Divergence — the two reads disagreeing.
- Conviction — how strongly the combined inputs lean one way.
